Asian
Art - Netsuke, Inro and Okimono
It is rather difficult to photo a Netsuke, in reality they are much
more impressive.
Please note that a close-up photo of such a small item (about 2"-3")
shows the high quality and details of carving.
As they were carved from various parts of different types of real
ivory, the color varies, some are darker some are whiter.
These ivories and other Japanese and Chinese art works were privately
collected for over 30 years.
Their ages are about 19C to early 20C.
Note about
Ivory: They were acquired from prominent and reliable antique
dealers, through auctions worldwide.
They were carved from ivory some
time between the end of 19C and early 20C but definitely
before 1945
According to DEFRA (Department for Enviroment,
Food and Rural Affairs),
As they were made pre 1947 there is no need for a
certificate to sell according to article 10
